Smoke Damage

When a fire occurred in Chicago, SERVPRO of Northbrook/Wheeling/Glencoe came to the rescue!  There were many pieces of Silver that had smoke damage but this is not a simple wipe down!  Crews also needed to remove the tarnish on the silver as well as the soot.  This is a very time consuming process due the process of cleaning silver.  Crews have to be very delicate as to not damage the silver during the cleaning process.  If you are too abrasive, it can leave scratches and marks and you would be doing even more damage than what was on the silver to begin with.
